Region III National Cup Championships concluded this weekend with an incredible U23 Men's Competition.  The Brandon Flames from Florida defeated the Sole Roll Soccer Club from North Texas 1-0 to clinch the Regional Title. Florida swept the Men's Competition for the 08 Regional Championships and Texas dominated the Women's Competition.  All winners from Region III will converge on Seattle, Washington in August to continue their quest to win the coveted National Championship title.

The National Cup Competition is the oldest and most prestigious soccer tournament in the United States for any person who is a member of a team playing in a league of four or more teams affiliated with the United States Soccer Federation and the United States Amateur Soccer Association.

The competition began in 1914 for the Men's Open Cup. In 1923, the Men's Amateur Cup was added, In 1980 the Women's Amateur and Over 30 Cups were begun.

U23 Regional Competition will be held as a separate event this year with different deadlines.  Hopefully, a later Regional event will draw more teams into the competition.  Please check with your State Cup Commissioner regarding U23 State level competition.

Each year, 100's of teams across the United States participate in the National Cup Competition. Of these, only 8 teams will become a National Champion in one of the 8 following divisions:
